Some doomsday-type preppers are so concerned with what might happen tomorrow that they forget to take pleasure in today. Don’t let thoughts of disaster consume your every moment. Opt for a more balanced approach. Plan for tomorrow but take pleasure in today.
Remember the Rule of Three that prioritizes emergency needs in a survival situation? An adult may survive three minutes without air, three hours without shelter, three days without water, and three weeks without food. I’d like to add one more item: hope. I think one can survive only three seconds without hope … hope in the future and in the basic goodness and resiliency of mankind.
Plan, purchase and prepare, but don’t forget to hope for the best. Without hope, everything else is irrelevant.
